Kidswear Assistant Designer
Location - Gloucestershire
Salary - 18,000

Kidswear Assistant Designer required for an exciting, fast paced company based in Gloucestershire.

Kidswear Assistant Designer will be responsible for: Customer and brand awareness - to work with designer to identify and understand the brands core customer, market position and key competitors; Product Development - assist designer in trend research, identify key fabrics, colours and shapes, assist in the collection of colour pallettes, manage the fabric library; Product Management - achieve deadlines set by designers, plan and prioritise workload, manage sample development; Quality and Fit - work with quality team to understand health and safety requirements; Stores and Sales - communicate with buying and merchandise team to identify best and worse selling lines.

Essential skills: strong knowledge of the adobe suite and MS Office; strong eye for detail; good level of understanding of commercial pattern cutting; excellent technical drawing skills; passion for fashion. able to identify key trends; self motivation, team player, good communication skills.
